reason I've owned various websites for the past twelve years, and purchased my first domain in 2002. My personal site has always been a creative outlet for me, a place for me to speak my mind, and share my work and ramblings with the world.

Phenixx I loved my previous domain, but had to close it for personal reasons. After going through withdrawl from lack of a website, but tired of feeling smothered and censored, I decided to start over with a new domain. I got the name Phenixx from the mythological bird (phoe·nix also phe·nix) that "lived in the desert for 500 years and then consumed itself by fire, later to rise renewed from its ashes." (dictionary.com). I've always been fascinated by this concept, and thought it'd make for an interesting domain name. The extra 'x' is for uniqueness.

Egypt I wanted to have my personal site be a sub-domain. I chose 'Egypt' because: it's short, I like the word, the Phenix is an Egyptian myth, and I doubt anyone else has a personal site with the same name.
